Baby Swim Foundation Programme at Chessgrove Swim

We teach the Baby Swim Foundation Programme. Its purpose is to teach babies vital lifesaving & foundation swimming skills working towards actual long term surface swimming whilst helping them develop confidence and have fun.  The lessons are structured, teaching a variety of elements, keeping both the adult & child active and stimulated.

BSFP MISSION STATEMENT

“It is not enough that a child is just confident and happy in the water – they must know how to swim”
The programme is divided into four complimentary levels, being progressive so that babies build on skills learnt earlier.  Once a child has completed the BSF programme, they progress onto the ASA Duckling schemes.
The BSF programme includes submersions which are an important part of learning to swim, but they are not the main focus of the lessons. All lessons are taught with an emphasis on fun, and we include plenty of songs, games and toys in every session.
Baby & toddler lessons are taught in 10 week courses, with a half hour lesson each week.  The courses run approximately in line with school terms and commence in January, April, July and September.  We have lessons for this age group every weekday morning.

Our lessons are taught with your teacher in the water with you and your baby, in a class size of 8.
