Pre-School Swimming (3-4 years old)

This age group cannot wait to get into the warm water, and the wide steps are an excellent teaching aid for entering the water confidently. We award certificates and badges from the ASA Ducklings scheme regularly to promote motivation and enjoyment, and provide drinks and snacks for all children at the end of their lesson.  In these classes, children will progress to swimming solo (ie without a parent in the water).

For classes with parents in the water with their children we offer a ratio of 8 swimmers to 1 teacher, but once the swimmers are solo, the classes are run with 4 swimmers to 1 teacher.
